    What is remote file access?

    Remote file access allows you to seamlessly access and manage files/folders on remote computers. It is compatible across different platforms, including desktop, mobile, and web. The feature supports easy search of files on the remote computer. It lets you upload files to the remote computer and download remote files to the local device.

    How do I access the files/folders on my remote computer?

    To access the files/folders of a configured computer,

    1. Log in to RemotePC via a web browser.
    2. Go to File Access, and click File Access beside the computer you wish to access.
    3. Enter the Personal Key to authenticate your access and click Connect.

      You can now access and manage the files and folders on the computer.

    What operations can I perform from the File Access tab?

    On successfully connecting to the files/folders of the remote computer via File Access, you can perform the following operations:

    1. Remote file search: Browse and search files/folders on the remote system.
    2. Remote file upload: Upload multiple files/folders to the remote computer.
    3. Remote file download: Download multiple files/folders to your local computer.
    4. Remote file deletion: Delete files/folders on the remote computer.

    How do I upload files and folders to a remote computer?

    To upload files/folders to a remote computer,

    1. Go to File Access, and click File Access beside the computer you wish to access.
    2. Click the destination folder on the remote computer.
    3. Click Upload and choose Files or Folders.

    4. Select the requisite file(s)/folder(s) from your local storage.
    5. The files/folders will be uploaded.

    How do I download files and folders from a remote computer?

    To download remote files/folders to your local computer,

    1. Go to File Access, and click File Access beside the computer you wish to access.
    2. Hover over the file that you wish to download and click RemotePC.

    3. Select the destination folder on your local computer.
    4. The file will be downloaded.

    How do I delete files and folders on the remote computer?

    To delete files/folders on the remote computer,

    1. Go to File Access, and click File Access beside the computer you wish to access.
    2. Hover over the file that you wish to delete and click Remote Meeting.

    3. Click Delete on the confirmation popup.
    4. The file will be deleted.

    Can I filter my file/folders search to a specific folder?

    Yes, you can filter your file/folders search to a specific folder.

    To find a specific file/folder in your remote computer,

    1. Log in to RemotePC via a web browser.
    2. Go to File Access, and click File Access beside the computer you wish to access.
    3. Enter the Personal Key to authenticate your access and click Connect.
    4. Navigate to any internal folder, enter a search term, and press enter key. The search results for the term in the computer will be displayed.
    5. To filter this search, click Remote Meeting, choose the radio button that narrows down the results to the open internal folder, and click Search. Example: Search in 'Documents'.
